roses and muffins
When I was out in the garden the other day getting things covered up before the freeze, I snipped some of my remaining roses.
Pioneer Spirit.
One of my favorites. I hope to plant more early next year.
It has a bit of a peony look to it, with it's round shape and fullness.
Oh, how I love peonies. I wish they would grow here in Texas.
And did I mention how lovely they smell?
Divine.

So... what pairs well with a small bundle of sweet smelling roses?
Muffins, of course.
I have been making this muffin recipe for several months now, and everyone in my family loves them. They are easy, and quick and the recipe uses very basic ingredients.
Banana Crumb Muffins
I am finding that I buy larger bunches of bananas, just so I have enough to make these muffins.
